Dani Clos races to victory in the final race of the season.

The Gp2 Asia series championship was won by Romain Grosjean who secured it with a 4th place.

(EFE) .- Spanish driver Dani Clos (Racing Engineering) has claimed victory in the final race of the GP2 Series, which was held at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari Imola after which the Frenchman Romain Grosjean (DAMS) has been awarded the championship.

Dani Clos, who yesterday finished seventh in the first race and started from the second, quickly took the lead when the Malaysian Fairuz Fauzy
started very badly and was overtaken by five other riders. Under heavy braking for the first corner, the Malaysian driver ran into the back of Trident’s Stefano Coletti and Frenchman Jules Bianchi (ART) taking them all out of the race.  It was an unfortunate accident since the Bianchi was a title contender.

With the withdrawal of Bianchi, Grosjean claimed their second title, which despite continued fighting to reach the podium
