6th June, 2014 (F1 Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Lewis Hamilton topped the timesheets from teammate Nico Rosberg at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve during FP2.

Hamilton and Rosberg took it in turns going fastest throughout the session but it was the Briton who ended the session on top with a 1:16.118.

A late stint on the supersoft tyres saw Sebastian Vettel go third fastest.

Kimi Raikkonen was fourth fastest with teammate Fernando Alonso close behind in second.

It was two-by-two for Williams and McLaren with Felipe Massa sixth fastest, Valtteri Bottas seventh, Jenson Button eighth and Kevin Magnussen ninth.

Magnussen found himself under investigation after driving slowly through T13/14, forcing Adrian Sutil to drive across the chicane to avoid running into him. The stewards decided to take no further action against the Dane.

Jean-Eric Vergne went tenth fastest, followed by Romain Grosjean, Daniel Ricciardo, Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez.

Pastor Maldonado’s session was hampered by his rear-wing jamming, which saw him stop at the end of the pit lane and get pushed back to the garage. Lotus replaced his rear wing and he got back out on track to go 15th fastest.

Adrian Sutil went 16th fastest followed by teammate Esteban Gutierrez and then Max Chilton in the Marussia.

Daniil Kvyat went 19th fastest and was only able to put in nine laps when an issue brought his session to an early end.

Kamui Kobayashi finished 20th fastest with teammate Marcus Ericsson 21st. The Swede’s session was brought to end early end when he lost transmission and was forced to leave the car in the run-off area at Turn 3.

Jules Bianchi was slowest after only putting in three laps during the session. The Frenchman spent most of the session in the garage while the team investigated an issue with the Ferrari power unit.
