6th June, 2014 (F1 Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Romain Grosjean feels Lotus should be able to find some more speed and is hoping to quality in the top 10 for the Canadian Grand Prix.
“It looks like we should be able to find some more speed after looking through the data,” Grosjean said.
“the weather’s due to be hotter so we’ll be pushing hard to get into the top ten for qualifying tomorrow.” Grosjean said.
The team have made progress since the Monaco Grand Prix and Grosjean says they’re working hard to make up for their issues on the straights in Canada.
“We’ve made good progress with the car since Monaco and the team has made improvements in the areas where we struggled there so that has been a real bonus today.” he said.
“We knew we would struggle on the straights here so we’re doing everything we can to make up for that.”
Pastor Maldonado spent time in the garage during FP2 due to a DRS issue on his rear-wing.
The Venezuelan got to the end of the pitlane and was pushed back into the garage by the team, who replaced his rear-wing.
“We had a couple of small issues today but we still got a good number of laps completed so we know where we can improve.” Maldonado said.
“We know what we want from the car and what we want to achieve tomorrow in qualifying.”
