SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, 21st August, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Adrian Sutil has confirmed that he has a contract for next year but is remaining coy on where he will be racing.
The Sauber driver said he has known since last year where he will be racing in 2015 but cannot talk about it because of team policy.
“Yes, I know already since last year where I’m going to be next year,” Sutil said.
“Yes, but I can’t really comment more, team policy,” he said when asked explicitly if he had a contract or not.
As Sauber head into the second half of the season they are 11th in the constructors’ title behind Marussia.
Sutil said scoring points was their main target and thought rain during the Belgian Grand Prix might give them a chance at picking up some points.
“Yes definitely, that is the main targeting starting from today or tomorrow, all focus on the points. We need a few," he said.
“There’s some rain coming here, things might open up to score some points.”
