SPA-FRANCORCHAMPS, 24th August, 2014 (F1Plus / Rosie Baillie) - Kevin Magnussen has received a post-race drive through penalty and two penalty points for forcing Fernando Alonso off track.
Magnussen and Alonso were fighting hard towards the end of the race and the stewards deemed that the McLaren driver did not leave Alonso enough space.
"The driver of car 20 [Magnussen] was defending his position on the straight between turns 4 and 5, a significant portion of car 14 [Alonso] was alongside car 20," a statement from the steward reads.
"The driver of car 20 did not leave enough space for car 14 and forced the car off track."
Magnussen finished sixth but his 20 second time penalty will push him down to 12th place.
The drivers who finished seventh to 12th will now be promoted one place. This means Nico Hulkenberg will be promoted to 10th place and will pick up one point.
Magnussen now has four penalty points.
